1. It burns quickly,
so make sure you stand there and watch it. All the sugar in the fruit is the
culprit, and the taste of burnt fruit sounds terrible.
2. Use olive oil to
prevent it from sticking to the grate. No one likes to scrape the charred peel
from the grate. In addition, adding olive oil will slightly change the flavor
of the fruit, which is good for you.
3. If possible, use
indirect heating. Grilling fruits does not take much time, so you need to use
indirect heating to get the best results.
Cut the fruit in half
and remove the core, then coat both sides with oil or butter. Bake on medium
heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until charred and tender. It is
delicious with pork, chicken, steak or ice cream.
Apple
Slice, remove seeds,
oil, and roast on a rack on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes, or until tender.
Only turn once. It is suitable to be eaten with cinnamon sugar or pork.
Watermelon
Slice and brush with
olive oil. Bake each side over high heat for 5 minutes. Barbecuing marks should
be formed. Sprinkle with Shanghai salt and sit for a while before serving.
Cantaloupe
Cut into wedges and
skewers. Coat both sides with oil and roast on medium heat for 3-5 minutes,
until traces of the grill are formed. Only turn once. Serve with honey and lime
juice.
Banana
Cut the banana in
half lengthwise (do not peel it). Coat the cut side with brown sugar and bake
over medium heat for 3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook. Remove the skin and
eat.
Strawberry
These are the
simplest skewers. Cut the strawberries on the grill (or roast them whole). If
placed on kebabs, grill for 3 minutes on each side. If they separate, they may
need less time. Dip into sugar, drizzle with balsamic vinegar, or pour directly
on ice cream.
Coconut
Cut the coconut in
half, drain the water, and place the white meat side down on the grill until
golden brown. Use a small flame, this may take up to 15 minutes, but please
watch carefully!
Pineapple
Separate the fresh
pineapple slices or coat the kebabs with oil. Grill each side at high heat for
2 to 3 minutes, or until grill marks appear and the pineapple is heated. Eat
with pork or alone.
