     Vinegar

     Baking soda

     Aluminum foil

Cleaning the stainless steel grill grates is a simple 4-step process:

1. Scrape

2. Soak

3. Scrub

4. Rinse

Allow me to introduce you to the simple process of keeping the stainless steel grill grates clean.

Two cleaning technologies

The amazing thing about stainless steel grilles is that they can withstand intense heat and are highly resistant to rust and corrosion. They are easy to clean and almost look new after use.

These are the two best ways to keep the grate clean.

Technique 1 – Burn, scrub and rinse

Do not! Don’t let your grill catch fire. All you need to do is wrap the grate in heavy aluminum foil, close the lid, and set the grill to high temperature (500 to 550°F) for about 15 minutes.

The food and grease that stick to the grate will be burned off and become brittle. Use a high-quality spatula or grill brush to remove the remaining carbon.

You can then rinse off any remaining debris and residue. Now you are ready for the next barbecue.

You may see similar techniques on the Internet, by setting the oven in “clean” mode, and discharging the oven into a household oven to burn them. bad idea. The smoke will trigger your smoke alarm, the smoke in the house will never be good, and there is a good chance of a grease fire in your oven.

Besides ruining a perfect oven, do you really want to hear about it from your spouse?

Technique 2-Immersion

Soaking your grate is an easy way to loosen burnt carbon and grease. For this, you need a container large enough to place the grate in the aqueous solution.

This is a safe and easy soaking liquid

1. Use a plastic bucket large enough to secure your grate.

2. Pour ½ cup of strong detergent and fill the bathtub with enough hot water to cover the grate with at least two to three inches of water. (Make sure the grate is cold, otherwise you will melt the bathtub!)

3. Add ¼ cup of baking soda and stir until it dissolves and the water is foamy.

4. Place in the grate and soak for 1 to 2 hours. If you have time, you can let them stay overnight.

5. Scrub with heavy-duty synthetic scrubbing pads. Avoid using steel scrubbing pads because the debris can fall off and get into your food.

6. Rinse the grill with a hose and you can start grilling

If you don’t want to buy a plastic bathtub, you can use a heavy-duty lawn garbage bag. Just make sure there are no leaks. The black water will stain almost everything it touches.

Another alternative to soapy water is vinegar and baking soda.

1.    Put the grille in the bathtub or plastic bag

2.    Mix 2 cups of white vinegar with 1 cup of baking soda and pour the mixture directly on top. The mixture will foam immediately, so the effect is very fast.

3.    Just soak for an hour to overnight

4.    Scrub and rinse as described above.

Effective grill brush and grill cleaning tool

Having a high-quality grill scraper or brush handy is essential to prevent food from accumulating on the grill. There is nothing worse than making your chicken breasts taste like last week’s salmon.

As part of daily care and maintenance, just scrape and scrub your grill grill after each use, preferably when the grill is still hot and food residues are easiest to remove. Once it is completely cooled, it becomes more difficult.

Some manufacturers design scrapers to fit their grill grills, so it is impossible to find stray lines in your food. Alternatives to wire grill brushes include:

     Metal scraper

A piece of wood with grooves for your grill

A rigid nylon brush is molded on the head.

     Stack of heavy aluminum foil

Heavy-duty abrasive grill mats-available at your grill store or restaurant supply store.

Rule of thumb-no matter what you use to clean your steel wok or cast iron skillet, it is safe enough for a stainless steel grill.

Two other methods related to soaking and flushing are steam cleaning and pressure cleaning.

If you happen to have these tools, go for it, they work well. However, you don’t need them, so don’t spend money just to clean the grill.

Take care of your stainless steel grill grates

Keeping the grate clean and free of food can prevent them from pitting.

Although some people recommend rubbing oil on the grill, it can cause faster buildup. Instead, oil your food. It has achieved the purpose of preventing food from sticking and reducing oil.

Cleaning the grill after each use will make the job of keeping the grate clean.
